Saying goodbye

Why is it that saying goodbye never gets any easier. I think sometimes it only gets harder. I had to say goodbye to someone who had become very dear to me over the past few months. Who knows if I'll ever see this person again. It just sucks, as much as I've tried to distance myself lately so it wouldn't be so hard I've failed. I'm going to miss this person alot.. I'm so tired of opening my heart to let people in only to have them leave...whether by choice or not. But I guess letting go and saying goodbye is just one of those parts of life that is never fun but seems to be a necessary evil that somehow helps us learn and grow...but it doesn't make it suck any less!
